Silage Press LOMBRICO
The silo press has a simple structure because a screw shaft is used to transfer the material in the sleeve. It is driven from the tractor's PTO shaft with a speed of 540 rpm through a chain transmission which reduces the rotation speed of the auger to approximately a maximum of 270 rpm.
The Lombrico packing machine allows you to quickly and efficiently pack dry grain or wet/dry corn grain into foil sleeves, without the need to invest in expensive silos or warehouses. You can pack e.g. beet pulp or corn into the sleeve.
The large hopper allows the machine to be loaded with a loader, although it can also be loaded with a reloading trailer. The machine is equipped with a 9-inch tunnel (2.7 m sleeve diameter).
The hopper with dimensions of 3.5 m x 2 m and a filling height of approx. 1 m will accommodate, depending on the model: * Lombrico 400 - approx. 3.2 m³, and in the * Lombrico 600 model - approx. 4.8 m³ of material for storage. The use of inspection windows allows for constant control of the amount of material in the basket.
Installation of sleeveswith a diameter of 2.7 m is facilitated by a winch that allows easy and quick installation of the sleeve on the machine. The silo press is therefore convenient in everyday use when packing a given material.
The machine has a release gear and a brake to regulate the crushing power of the packed material.
Advantages of ensiling in foil bags:
• very good density of the ensiled material, which guarantees anaerobic ensiling conditions and proper fermentation process,
• reducing losses during ensiling to a minimum,
• much smaller surface for removing feed: silage does not spoil when opening and removing feed from the sleeve,
• low unit costs: additional expenditure on ensiling feed in a sleeve is at least partially compensated by reducing losses usually resulting from ensiling in a pile,
• the highest quality of feed, while maintaining the recommended siloing conditions,
• possibility of feeding animals all year round.
Proper management of ensiled corn grain requires, first of all, the implementation of appropriate ensiling technology (harvesting in the appropriate phase, grain fragmentation, compaction of the crushed material and the use of additives facilitating ensiling).
GRAIN STORAGE
Dry and wet grain can be stored in foil sleeves. Dry grain is stored due to the lack of storage infrastructure or when it is insufficient.
This allows you to create very cheap, buffer storage facilities and reduce or eliminate high investment costs related to the construction of silos or warehouses.
Foil sleeves do not require a specially prepared surface and can be created on paving stones, asphalt or in the field.
Packing in a foil sleeve allows you to collect a large amount of wet grain during harvest and store it. Then the purchase price is the lowest and it is not profitable to sell it.
The grain can be stored wet, without the need for immediate drying. If possible, they can be dried later.
Grain packed in foil sleeves does not have access to air, so it retains all its properties for many months.
